This was my first directing project since graduating university, and I entered it into Tropfest, where it was proudly preselected. The film follows Lottie as she struggles to cope with the sudden death of her boyfriend, Declan. Isolating herself from the world, she begins sending daily messages to his old phone number as a way of holding onto him. As her loneliness deepens, she begins to see signs that he’s typing a reply… or is she imagining it? The line between reality and hope blurs when she sees someone typing. The number now belongs to a stranger, whose unexpected connection compels Lottie to confront her grief, leading to a cathartic realisation and her first step toward healing. The film explores love, loss, and the painful process of letting go.
